Day Duration: 10am - 5:30pm with a 1 hour lunch break

DAY BREAK DOWN

10am - 11am: Lecture

Understanding our approach to haircutting by exploring our ethos and core values.

11am - 1pm: Demo

The cut will be exploring 4 core principles:

1. CHOICE OF LENGTH

2. STARTING POINT

3. ANGLE OF SECTIONS

4. TECHNIQUE

The demo will make you think about how the mechanics of a haircut work. This will allow you to have a better understanding of your choices, which in turn will give you control of the overall process and outcome.

1pm - 2pm: Lunch break

2pm - 5pm: Practical

Each student will work on a mannequin head provided by Ego. Using your new found understanding you will create your very own haircut. You will take into consideration our 4 core principles.

The educators will supervise you throughout the process and monitor:

1. EXECUTION OF TECHNIQUE

2. DECISION MAKING

3. OVERALL UNDERSTANDING

The practical is not about learning to replicate a haircut. It’s about becoming a creator and exploring your creative side with your new found knowledge.

5pm - 5:30pm: Round up

We will recap what we have learnt from the day.

Q&A session:

An opportunity to ask the educators anything regarding the day or barber industry related.

Certification:

All students will be presented with an Ego barbers certificate.
